We successfully launched our World Tour for Sharks with Newquay Marine Group on 9th January 2015 at Cornwall College. The lecture we gave marked the beginning of our tour and is the first of many events to come in countries including England, Canada, The Cook Islands, New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, Cambodia and Thailand.
There was a great turn out for our talk, with over 50 people attending, and we also raised £70 towards our cause! It was a superb start to our public speaking events for us at Friends for Sharks and we thoroughly enjoyed sharing our shark conservation cause and enthusiasm with like-minded people. We would like to extend a huge thank you to the Newquay Marine Group, Newquay Blue Reef Aquarium and to everyone that attended our talk.
We are giving further talks at Polzeath, St Agnes, Looe and Plymouth during January and February. Please note, we are also hosting a public lecture in London with the London Wildlife Trust & London Environmental Education Forum.
